You want to stay at a place that is close to the parks, restaurants and entertainment you enjoy. No sense having to travel great distances when you don’t have to. For some resorts, the views provided also help when determining a good location. For others, it may be about being AWAY from it all. Regardless, location is everything.
Welcome to Believe Vacations’ quest to find the BEST RESORT AT DISNEY where today, we reveal the results of our agents’ voting determining which resort we thought has the BEST LOCATION. A variety of factors went into our individual votes and by combining the scores, these were the resorts we thought had some prime real estate attached to them. The pictures you see will give you a hint as to where they are located:
Disney’s All-Star Resorts (Movies, Music, Sports) – #18, #19, #20
As is typical, these 3 resorts usually fit the same description since they are all clustered together. Zoned for the Animal Kingdom, the fact that you can visit all 3 simply crossing the parking lot makes for a fun photo day. These resorts are perfect for water park lovers as it is literally right across the street from Disney’s Blizzard Beach and just to the west of the sports mecca, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter and Riverside – #25 and #26
If the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Disney Springs were to make a triangle, these spectacular resorts would reside right in the middle. While there may not be too much around the immediate grounds, a river truly does run through it and it makes for some awesome photo opportunities. And as a true bonus, Best Friends Pet Care is right across the street for your furry family members.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort – #11
Located just on the west side of Epcot is this amazing resort. On good nights, you can catch Illuminations light up the sky. On most days, you can see clear across the lake and peak in on the happenings at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. While zoned for Epcot, Hollywood Studios is a quick hop on the bus. And of course, nothing beats being on the beach!
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – #38
With a lake splitting it and Pop Century Resort, A of A is comfortably located in the Southeast corner of Walt Disney World. The bridge that connects the two feels as if you’re getting 2 resorts for the price of one. And while there is no theme park within walking distance, a short bus ride is very convenient and quick when trying to get to Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Disney Springs.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – #8
Close enough to the action of the Magic Kingdom yet tucked far enough away on the other side of the lake to embrace nature is this gem of a resort. Guests will enjoy the scenic lake views yet still have the convenience of taking a quick boat ride to the Magic Kingdom. Also located within a short distance of the Transportation and Ticket Center, this resort is ideal for taking the Monorail to Epcot as well.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa/Contemporary Resort/Polynesian Village Resort – #3, #2, #6
Positioned on the coveted Monorail loop that reaches the Magic Kingdom, these immaculate resorts are ones most can only dream of staying in. Located right on the Seven Seas Lagoon, patrons can go directly to the “Happiest Place on Earth” or to its neighboring resorts for a nice visit. But each has its own reason for being in the best location:
The Grand Floridian is the first stop to and from the Magic Kingdom, depending on the direction of the Monorail. Which means you get to your room or the park with little delay.
The Contemporary Resort is the shortest distance to the main gate of the Magic Kingdom, enticing guests to make the walk and not have to wait on transportation.
The Polynesian Resort is closest to the Ferryboat Landing for a one-way trip to the Magic Kingdom and also the Transportation and Ticket Center for a quick ride over to Epcot on the monorail.
