Top Length of Attraction (Non Magic Kingdom)

By October 6, 2017 April 8th, 2019 No Comments

We know the feeling; You spend months and money planning and saving for the perfect Disney trip. You have made sacrifices in your personal life, in your travels to arrive and taking off from work, possibly school. You want to maximize your enjoyment in the parks. You do not want to wait in lines (we’ll discuss that in a later post) but you also want do not want to feel like you waited all that time for a short ride/show. And that’s why it’s important to know the lengths of each attraction or show.

Welcome to Believe Vacation’s quest to discovering THE GREATEST DISNEY ATTRACTION OF ALL TIME as we continue with another week providing you the results of our recent agent survey. Today, we share what our agents thought were the Non-Magic Kingdom attractions that had the best length of time for each show or ride.  While you can find official run times online, our agents were asked to consider the entire attraction from start to finish.

In and out, nobody gets hurt!

TriceraTop Spin – Round and round and round and round and thankfully it stops quickly!

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros – A harmless, slow moving boat ride that travels alongside a restaurant is over before you can comprehend what’s going on with Donald Duck.

Spaceship Earth – Little shocked this one is here because of the slow moving cars, but maybe it has to do with the small amount of time each scene gets before you are transitioned to the next one.

Primeval Whirl – Just like your basic carnival ride, this one stops just as soon as your stomach starts to feel uneasy.

Saddle up and buckle in!

Living with the Land – OK, so there may not be seat belts to buckle in with but it is a wonderful time killer for a little one should you have to wait for other members of your party to finish riding Soarin‘.

Star Tours: The Adventure Continues – Each segment of this attraction (wait time, pre-show, on-board instructions, actual experience) seem to have the perfect amount of time dedicated to each.

Frozen Ever After – Nothing will ever be long enough if you’ve waited over 2 hours in line but this ride through Arendelle seems to have the same amount of ride time as Maelstrom.  At least it seems that way…

Mission: Space – Personally, I would like more time in space but depending on if you are taking the Green or Orange challenge, this attraction is either too short or too long!

Turtle Talk with Crush – It’s really nice of Crush to take 10-15 valuable minutes of his time to entertain us and it’s right on the nose the appropriate amount.

Journey into Imagination with Figment – For an attraction that tried to put a lot of creativity into it, the time on the ride is plenty…just nobody seems to want to ride.

It’s Tough Being a Bug 4D – The beginning of the show with its jokes make you want it to go for a while; once Hopper makes his frightening appearance, your little ones may want it to end immediately.

Kali River Rapids – A nice lengthy water attraction that gives you plenty of opportunities to get wet but also enough time returning to the dock to dry out in the Florida sun.

Festival of the Lion King – Not even the circus could pack in as much in about half of its show time.  Action non-stop, half an hour never went by so quickly.

Soarin’ Over the World – Obviously it has to take awhile if we’re traveling “over the world.”  But we get plenty of time to see the highlights so we’re not complaining.

Test Track – You would think the fastest ride at Disney would not take a lot of time to complete.  Add in the testing phases and the pre-show design area and you’ll spend some time at this attraction.

Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain – The pause at the top of the broken tracks, getting pulled into the mountain and the actual Yeti encounter add to the total time, but this train absolutely hauls once it gets back on track!

Toy Story Midway Mania! – Games has a certain amount of time assigned to them to accomplish the goal of getting the most points.  Makes sense to me even as time does fly having this much fun.

Rock N Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith – Our team must have thought that the roller coasters are perfect length.  In the case of RNRRC, as long as I’m hearing the band’s classic hits, it will never be long enough.

Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage – Well paced, well produced and a wonderful lengthy, yet emotion-stirring break from the glitz and glamor and intensity of Hollywood Studios.

Muppet*Vision 3D – Again, any time with The Muppets will always be too short but even Sam the Eagle had his glorious 3 hour tribute cut to a minute and a half!

Fantasmic! – The highlight of the nighttime entertainment in the parks, this 20 minute show that combines water, fire, lights, action, classic scenes, timeless songs and your favorite characters makes you wish time could just stand still.

Dinosaur – The main portion of this attraction does not seem any longer or shorter than others.  But add into it the pre-show and you’ve got a wonderfully packaged total experience that will be well worth the wait in line.

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror – Novices may be asking “How long does it take a ride to simply go up and drop?”  To which we say, you have no idea how long or short this attraction will be in total because it may drop a couple of times, maybe 7 or 8.  Regardless, TofT has the perfect length to it!

This is the attraction that never ends….

The American Adventure – When an attraction is labeled as the perfect place to take a nap on a hot day at Epcot, you know the length of it will be ample.  But stay awake and don’t be surprised if you don’t come away with a deeper appreciation of our country after a half hour.

Kilimanjaro Safaris – No, it’s not a half to full day safari you would receive if you went to Africa.  But because the vehicles are actually driven by Cast Members, it may take you a good amount of time to circle the complex and get those pictures of all your favorite animal species.

Did we miss anything?  Which attraction do you enjoy because you get a lot of it in one experience?  Leave our comments in the section below and as always, there’s a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
