Welcome to Believe Vacation’s countdown to the GREATEST DISNEY ATTRACTION OF ALL TIME as today, we our agent polling results by revealing the Most Thrilling Magic Kingdom Attractions. As we did last week with Non-Magic Kingdom attractions, each was given a grade and based on the total, we have placed them in the following tiers:
Are We Even Moving?
Liberty Square Riverboat – A calm relaxing boat ride around Tom Sawyer island. I said “relaxing.”
Enchanted Tales with Belle – Once you get inside the castle, the thrills come when the kiddos Belle tell her story.
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel – Round and round we go to the melodious tunes of our favorite Disney songs.
Country Bear Jamboree – Can’t complain as the category is thrilling, not Greatest Ever!
“it’s a small world” – You could’ve guessed this one would wind up in the first tier as the slow-moving boat ride might you with a nap.
The Hall of Presidents – Another instance where sitting in a theater in the dark to watch a performance about history suprisingly does not equal “thrilling.”
Enchanted Tiki Room – Seems to be a trend with indoor shows but even the birds can’t bring the excitement scores.
Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress – Show in the dark with nothing but the song and nostalgia to look forward to.
Walt Disney World Railroad – Even with Walt’s love of trains, a train ride at Disney is still only just a train ride.
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin – The first of our circular outdoor flying attractions lacks the nostalgia and coolness of the other two.
Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid – Omnimover rides can have some thrills (see an entry ahead) but not aquatically.
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – It’s a running joke but its predecessor would’ve been much higher on the thrill list.
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover – While the speeds may not bring the thrills, entering Space Mountain and hovering over Tomorrowland are true highlights.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant – The second of our circular outdoor flying attractions still holds up as a childhood thriller.
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor – Are you going to get picked from the audience or not? you be “That Guy?” Those are the true thrills.
Tomorrowland Speedway – Get your motor runnin…..and head out on the highway at a thrilling 7 mph!
Astro Orbiter – The last of our circular outdoor flying attractions is higher, faster and more spacier than the others,, more thrills.
Peter Pan’s Flight – The sensation of flight this thrilling enough for our voters.

Jungle Cruise – Not sure why anyone would be of this amusing down the rivers of the world but not knowing if you’ll make it back is initimidating.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic – Breaking the trend of shows in the dark that are not thrilling, adding a some 4D makes this a true hidden gem of excitement.

The Barnstormer – Normally taking the title of “First Roller Coaster I Was Tall Enough to Ride At DisneyWorld,” this fun roller coaster can be thrilling if you’re not sure what to expect.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin – Shooting, spinning, scoring and saving the galaxy, trying to get the high score and win bragging rights in your family is exciting.

Mad Tea Party – With the word “Mad” at the of the name of the attraction, what the party lacks in tea it makes up for in spinning thrills.

Pirates of the Caribbean – The songs, the scenes, the pirating and the yo-hoing, this dark ride has it all except speed.

Haunted Mansion – Remember what I said earlier about slow, omnimover rides in the dark not being thrilling? Well, meet the original Disney master of the thrills and chills!
Now that was Fun!

Splash Mountain – Take the cute animal scenes away and what is one of the most iconic scenes in all of Disney Parks? That’s right, the 5-story plunge into the Briar Patch in a log flume boat. For those long-time Disney fanatics, the sight of the Magic Kingdom coming into view and then facing impending doom at the bottom is one of the most thrilling moments of the entire vacation.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – Just missing the top tier, the newest true thrill ride in the Magic Kingdom still has time for more people to experience all the fun it brings. While there is a middle section that creeps along in a mine (in a mine!), the smooth ride in a mine brings some awesome dips and turns. Bonus points for it to be captured on video for you to enjoy for years to come!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – When it’s described as the “Wildest Ride in the Wilderness,” you better hold on to your hat! Not one, not two, but 3 accents up the mountain divides this classic into 3 spurts of crazy, runaway train action. Ya’ll come back, ya hear?

Space – You probably could’ve guessed this one would be in this tier. Shockingly, it stands alone for Magic Kingdom rides. Amazingly, it placed 4th for all the rides in the parks (See our Non-Magic Kingdom list for the top 3 thrilling rides). But let’s not dismiss this cosmic ride through the stars. I honestly believe if you ride in the front, your thrill score may go up as you have no idea what the track ahead bring you. As always, any ride on this classic is worth the wait…and the aches that may accompany later in the day!
