We finally made it! After all the suspense, we will slowly begin a daily countdown series that will reveal what our agents voted to be THE GREATEST DISNEY ATTRACTION OF ALL TIME. A brief reminder of how we got here:
Over the past several weeks, our agents assigned scores to 60 attractions/shows we thought best represented Disney Parks. Each category was assigned a scale and each agent was asked to assign a number based on what they thought each attraction/show should score for that category. These categories included overall theming, wait time, length, for all ages, and more.
So without further ado, let’s reveal numbers 60-51:
60. TriceraTop Spin

I really feel like I gave Triceratop Spin a hard time during this whole process. Maybe it’s the combination of the Dumbo rip-off and hokey fairgrounds look Disney Parks try to avoid replicating, but I won’t shed a tear that this Animal Kingdom attraction came in last place.
59. Astro Orbiter

While having the same thrills as Triceratop Spin, I am very shocked (first of many in this countdown to #1) that this attraction from Tomorrowland scored this low. It might be the long wait or that it’s not as appealing to kids but the views are still some of the best in all Disney Parks.
58. The Barnstormer

The length of The Barnstormer really does this one in. Since it moved from the old Mickey’s Toon Town, Goofy’s roller coaster just has not found the popularity it once enjoyed. Still, it’s the perfect beginners roller coaster.
57. Prince Charming Regal Carrousel

I think this one is ranked about where it should. While it is definitely a classic and one of the most iconic attractions at the Magic Kingdom, that’s about it. Just a bunch of horses going around on your everyday carrousel.
56. Living with the Land

As one of the more educational attractions at Epcot, this attraction will always have a hard time becoming more popular. Not too many vacationers want to be entertained with the lessons on agriculture although it is fun to go through the greenhouse. But when you’re on a schedule and you’ve got Soarin’ in the same building, you have to make tough decisions and that means no slow boat rides.
From Agent Kyle Holland – “An attraction that takes on a different level of meaning and enjoyment as an adult, I especially enjoy seeing the insight into the International Food & Wine Festival, and how all the different food options are cultured.”
55. The Magic Carpets of Aladdin

As with Triceratop Spin and Astro Orbiter, guests want more than a rotating attraction. Don’t get me wrong because the idea of riding a magic carpet is pretty sweet. But since the movie Dumbo has had 50 years to win over fans prior to the release of Aladdin, flying elephants have more nostalgia than carpets at this point.
54. Primeval Whirl

Describing this attraction hurts my head. The design and the thrills are definitely there. It’s Space Mountain meets the Mad Tea Party meets Dinosaur. If that still doesn’t make sense, just go try it yourself. But don’t think about bringing little ones as the height requirements play a large role into why this attraction was ranked so low.
53. Liberty Square Riverboat

For some, the jewel of Liberty Square is a relaxing break from queues, crowds, strollers, kids and characters. But for most of us, who enjoy the fast-pace, the thrilling attractions and have kids with short attention spans, this calming ride is not “must-do” but rather “if I must, do.”
52. The American Adventure

Many of the other nations in the World Showcase at Epcot only get a movie to show-off their culture. We get a show with animatronics! HOORAY!! U! S! A! While the show is educational and the pre-show Voices of Liberty are some of the greatest talents in all Disney Parks, this show often serves only as a duck-through when rain showers pop up.
51. Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros

When Maelstrom shut down, this was the only attraction in the World Showcase for a few months. For that moment, there was a small window of opportunity for more guests and fans to discover the simplicity and beauty of this attraction. But then a much higher-ranked attraction in the Norway section opened up and Gran Fiesta Tour is back to being content with a never-ending fiesta, not caring who celebrates with them.
Conclusion:
Numbers 60-51 do not show a ton of love for Chester and Hester’s Din-O-Rama in Animal Kingdom nor love towards educational experiences in Epcot. We also did not look favorably on the two other revolving attractions that blatantly mimic Dumbo the Flying Elephant in the Magic Kingdom.
But what say you? Are we correct in saying these are the bottom 10 for GREATEST DISNEY ATTRACTION OF ALL TIME? Leave your comments in the section below and remember, there’s a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
