I know what you’re thinking.  Ha! Sit…at Disney?!  No way!  Well sometimes, you’ll need an opportunity to put your feet up and rest.  As much as some of us claim to be non-stop once, at Disney, it’s impossible, and you’ll be in pain by the end of the trip.  But you don’t want to leave the parks and go back to the room to sit down.  So it’s important to carefully pick your spot to beat the heat, rest the feet and get right back to ride and repeat.

Welcome to Believe Vacations’ weekly post where today, we’ll look at the best places to sit while at Disney. For this list, our wonderful team of authorized Disney Travel Agents sent in their favorite places to rest while at the parks.  Some of these locations may have welcomed your backside before. Others, you’ll have to seek out next time you go.  Regardless, pull up a chair and have a seat as we start with:

Animal Kingdom

Brian Pavlick – The big tree in an alcove with a wall that was shaded in front of Kali River Rapids.  It’s a great place to people watch and catch a nice breeze.

Kyle Holland – When I find time to sit, anywhere in Africa.

Jennifer Neal –  I like to get a Frozen Chai Latte from the Royal Anandapur Tea Company and sit by the water in Asia.

Many of our agents – Animal Kingdom has so much that we never really find a chance to sit.  Mostly get in, experience and go!

Hollywood Studios

Brian Pavlick – 1st row of Fantasmic!

Sarah Scott Holton – We love to take a break and listen to the music on the ledge of  the Muppets fountain.

Kasie Kline Baird – There are benches near the bathrooms by where you currently go in to meet Chewy, BB8 and Kylo Ren.  I sat while my child slept!

Mary Morning Radcliffe – We prefer either Sunset Blvd by Rock’n Roller Coaster  or by the arch outside of the Chinese Theater that leads to Animators Courtyard.

Kyle Holland – We also take a moment to rest at the corner of Sunset Blvd and Hollywood Blvd.

Epcot

Sarah Scott Holton – We enjoy sitting near the Imagination fountains but anywhere in World Showcase really is the best.   I’ll spend all day there if allowed!

Mary-Morning Radcliffe – The World Showcase at sunset, especially anywhere around Japan or America, is my favorite.

Whitney ‘Lintz’ Turner –  We like the seating around Test Track.  It’s not crowded and wide open.

Kyle H0lland – We enjoy time at the pin trading station in the center of Future World.

Jennifer Neal – The DVC lounge by Figment is a nice spot.   The area inside and behind The Cool Spot is great for Coke samples but for adult beverages, Rose & Crown Pub during a sing-a-long!

Magic Kingdom

Brian Pavlick – The Main Street Train Station provides views of fireworks, the castle, people and what else more could you want when you sit?

Brian Pavlick – “Stroller’s Row” which is in between the awesome marquees of some of the best rides in Fantasyland.
Sarah Scott Holton – The wooded charging station near the Tangled bathrooms for a phone recharge.
Sarah Scott Holton – There is a little offshoot street on Main Street near Crystal Arts that most people don’t know about.
Sarah Scott Holton – The covered porch by The Diamond Horseshoe provides relief from sun or rain.
Sarah Scott Holton – For great views of the castle and a softer surface, the hub grass lawns.

Mary-Morning Radcliffe – We always get popcorn or a caramel apple from Big Top Gifts and hang out for a bit at Storybook Circus.

Kyle Holland – There are great places in Tomorrowland across from the Speedway in between Mickey Star Traders and Galactic Goodies.

Becky Willis – If we ever find time to sit, the Casey Jr. Splash Area.

Tiffany Bailey Bigelow – My favorite sit down spot is on Main Street before a parade.

Jennifer Neal – We enjoy the covered area between Main Street and Tomorrowland (where they have the dessert fireworks watching party).

Jennifer Neal – If we need to be indoors, there is a great shortcut between Frontierland and Adventureland or just take in the Country Bear Jamboree.

Dana Zachry – Ours is a sit/ride combo. It’s the People Mover. I love it. I’ve always loved it.

Jennifer Klam Rives – If it’s a place to sit and relax, my favorite is the Carousel of Progress.

Jessica Harwood Bouwsma – I love sitting at Sleepy Hollow.  You can enjoy a delicious Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich, and – if you time it right – get a reasonably good view of the Festival of Fantasy parade as it passes by.

And there you have our favorite places to sit!  Did we miss any place?  Where are your favorite spots to simply sit and take in the sights and sounds?  Leave your comments in the section below and remember there’s a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
