Top Disney Motivational Quotes

By June 22, 2018 April 8th, 2019 No Comments

Sayings, phrases, words of wonder and motivational speeches can inspire us to do great things.  Bible verses, tweets and even fortune cookies can be highlighted, shared or bookmarked to reflect on and propel forward.  Disney is full of such quotes.  Life lessons came to us from fuzzy animals that could talk; princesses told us to keep wishing; inanimate objects would sing about discovering ourselves; and a founder would always share his advice on chasing your dreams.

Welcome to Believe Vacations’ Weekly Post where today, our agents will reveal our favorite Disney Motivational Quotes.  For this list, our agents supplied their favorite inspirational saying from a quote, song or mantra that was featured in a Disney movie or show.  We’ve compiled our favorites in no particular order and hope that you can use them to get you through the rough times.

Christine Pownall – The Lyrics from “Almost There” “How Far I’ll Go” and “Try Everything”

3 of the newer animated films are The Princess and the Frog, Moana, and Zootopia.  While these songs are very different in presentation, they do have the united theme of KEEP GOING!  For Tiana, she had her dream of owning a restaurant and this was her way of saying nothing would stop her. For Moana, a quest to help her people kept tugging at her until she realized it was time to seek out and try to help.  For the citizens of Zootopia, Gazelle’s song tells them to get, up, try again, don’t stop!

Brian Doebele – “No one tells Gaston no!”
I mean, rarely he’s wrong.  With his charming looks and his brauny physique, Gaston is every man’s inspiration and every woman’s dream, expect Belle, of course.  Never has a more confident line been delivered with such arrogance and pride.  Putting the narcissism and egoist nature behind, the quote is actually a great one to provide you with a motivating drive to accomplish your goals.  We just hope you do it with more grace and respect than our hairy-chested friend!

Mary-Morning Radcliffe – “Have courage and be kind.”
In the live-action version of Cinderella, we waste little time seeing the inspiration for the kind and tender-hearted personality that would personify our heroine, Ella.  With her mother slowing dying, the final words of encouragement are uttered and sets the stage for the conflicts Ella will later have with her stepmother and stepsisters.  We can all learn a lesson or two from these words, especially with all the division in our country.  Have the courage to speak your mind and show your side.  We do that too much to be honest.  But we forget the next part – be kind and respectful to the one offering a different opinion.

Sarah Scott Holton – “Ladies don’t start fights but they can finish them.”
Before we get into this quote, I’d like to acknowledge two truths: 1) The Aristocats is very underrated and 2) I love my wife dearly.  Now that we got this out of the way, AMEN MARIE!!  Once the lady has had her say in most disagreements, that’s it, turn out the lights, party’s over!  Now, that’s not being insensitive to my male brethren but isn’t it funny how ladies will admit this inner attitude that will surface at the correct moment.  Be respectful to the ladies my friends; you don’t want to be on the wrong end of the disagreement!

Jessica Harwood Bouwsma – “That voice inside is who you are
Still a newer quote but just as impactful as the rest, this gem from Moana’s Gramma Tala gives is an update to Jiminy Cricket’s “always let your conscious be your guide.”  Allowing that inner voice to determine your choices and eventually, allowing you to become who you were meant to be.  If the voice says pursue, you best do so at once.  If the voice says change directions in life, purpose, career, etc. then maybe you should consider it.  Ultimately, you’re the only one who knows the impact you want to leave on this world!
Image result for just keep swimming

Jennifer Neal – “Just keep swimming.”

Quickly becoming on of the more popular sayings in recent Disney history, this iconic motivational speech from Dory in Finding Nemo speaks to fish (and people) of all ages.  For young ones, it’s almost a cute little chant to sing around the house.  For adults, it takes a little deeper meaning.  Keep going.  Don’t stop. She doesn’t say “if life gets you down.”  She says “WHEN life gets you down.”  Best now to be ready for those moments.  And since you’re well prepared for them, you’ll keep swimming through the challenge!

Image result for disney if you can dream it you can do it

Tiffany Bailey Bigelow – “If you can dream it, you can do it.” I also like the quote that’s typically tagged onto the end of this one – “It all started with a mouse.”  Can you imagine going back in time and trying to convince people that a mouse would set the standard for entertainment and dreams to come true?  Walt knew.  He dreamed.  He did.  What dreams do you have that you’re scared you can’t do?  Or worse, that people are telling you won’t work?  Know it. Dream it.  Do it.
