Disney Set to Receive $50 Million Life Insurance Claim for the Death of Carrie Fisher

By January 1, 2017 March 23rd, 2019 No Comments

It is being reported that Disney had a $50 million accidental insurance policy in place in case Carrie Fisher would be unable to complete her 3-film commitment in the new Star Wars trilogy.  Fisher recently wrapped up filming on December’s Episode VIII where her character, Leia Organa, will allegedly play a large role. It is also suspected that Leia is slated to have a major role in the 2019 film Episode IX, which means that Disney will receive its payout. This is the largest ever single personal accident claim payout.

It is not yet reported how Disney will spend the money or how it will replace Carrie Fisher.
