Top Themed Restaurants

By February 2, 2018 April 8th, 2019 No Comments

For 4 months late in 2017, we took our weekly blog posts and revealed the results of how our team voted when it came to our thoughts to the GREATEST ATTRACTION EVER AT DISNEY (Spoiler Alert: It was Pirate of the Caribbean).  We received wonderful feedback from within our own team and from our families and friends and then the feedback quickly turned to ideas about doing the same for Best Restaurants and Best Resorts.  We listened, we voted and now it’s time to reveal.

Welcome to Believe Vacations weekly blog post where over the next handful of weeks, we will reveal the results of our agents voting on BEST RESTAURANT AT DISNEY!  There are a few things to mention: First, unlike attractions, not all restaurants have had the opportunity to be dined at so we have narrowed the field to those we have tried ourselves.  Second, we once again will be revealing our results via categories and today’s happens to be Best Theming.  Finally, results should be looked at as our agents suggesting best recommendations for families.  Just because one restaurant is a 5-star restaurant doesn’t mean it was high in terms of entertainment.  So again, consider all the categories first before you read our results.  Now think of what we’ll reveal to be the best in a few weeks.  Got that in mind?  Let’s get going with Best Themeing:

THE BARE NECESSITIES

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe (Quick Service,Magic Kingdom) – This space-themed restaurant located in Tomorrowland has the feel of a cafeteria at NASA headquarters.

Liberty Tree Tavern (Table Service, Magic Kingdom) – The Colonial feel of this restaurant in Liberty Square invites families a chance to sit together at the table and give thanks.

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe (Quick Service, Magic Kingdom) – Mosey on into this Old Western Saloon in Frontierland for some good ole’ fixins!

The Garden Grill (Table Service, Epcot) – What better way to celebrate Living with the Land than with healthy dishes in a rotating restaurant.

Hollywood & Vine (Table Service, Hollywood Studios) – Feel like a celebrity as you dine with royalty in the form of Disney Classic Characters and stars from Disney Jr.

Tusker House Restaurant (Table Service, Animal Kingdom) – African flavors within the Africa section of Animal Kingdom all while hanging out with Donald and some buddies.

Beaches & Cream Soda Shop (Table Service, Disney’s Beach Club Resort) – Go back in time to an old school Soda Shop on the shore at our only Resort restaurant in this list.

House of Blues Restaurant and Bar (Table Service, Disney Springs) – Southern dishes and Southern blues makes for the perfect mix of rock and soul!

SOMETHING THERE

Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano (Table Service, Hollywood Studios) – Mangia everyone!  One of the hippest and most cool places to grab a bite, this Sicilian (via California) ristorante has a unique theme going for it – randomness.  Check out the mismatched chairs, the twinking lights and the rustic design to see that Mama knows what her patrons want!

Cinderella’s Royal Table (Table Service, Magic Kingdom) – Dining with princesses inside of a castle.  Simple enough, right?  Ever wanted to attend a royal dining hall and enjoy dishes fit for a princess?  This is where you can.  And can you guess where it’s located?  Would you believe the actual castle in the middle of the Magic Kingdom?!

The Crystal Palace (Table Service, Magic Kingdom) – Head down Main Street and hang a left and you’ll discover a beautiful glass structure before you reach Adventureland.  This “whimsical” restaurant features Winnie-the-Pooh and friends, all within the elements of natural light that shines throughout the gorgeous atrium.  There may not be a more picturesque restaurant on Disney properties.

San Angel Inn Restaurante (Table Service, Mexico Pavillion – Epcot) – If you head to the World Showcase in Epcot and head to the left, the first structure is the Mexico Pavillion.  And while there are some traditional dishes, this is not your common “chips and salsa” restaurant.  Enjoy the twilight setting and saying Hola! while watching the boats from Gran Fiesta Tour sail by.

50’s Prime Time Cafe (Table Service, Hollywood Studios) – One of the more popular restaurants in Hollywood Studios, step back into Mom’s kitchen the way it looked in the 1950s.  Porcelain chickens, vinyl chairs and Formica tables await you as you settle up to the black and white TVs.  Just mind your manners, 50s-style!

T-REX (Table Service, Disney Springs) – If you enjoy Rainforest Cafe, you will love T-Rex.  Go back into pre-historic times as you sup beside a stegosaurus, munch next to a wooly mammoth and tear into your meal staring at a menacing Tyrannosaurus Rex.  Just take cover when the meteor shower hits!

Coral Reef Restaurant (Table Service, Epcot) – Located inside The Seas at Epcot is a restaurant that looks inside one of the largest aquariums in the United States.  What better way to enjoy amazing seafood dishes then overlooking 1000s of fish and aquatic creatures.  Just don’t be startled if you see a few scuba divers waving at you!

A WHOLE NEW WORLD

Be Our Guest Restaurant (Table Service, Magic Kingdom) – The “tale as old as time” has to have a setting.  Luckily for us, it’s the Beast’s Castle.  And thankfully, he is allowing those in his kingdom to dine in his royal hall.  Complete with elegance, french-cuisine and the “grey stuff” (by the way, it’s delicious!), you’ll find yourself enjoying both sit-down and over-the-counter meals.  With 3 themed areas, including a West Wing, to choose from, we’re all invited to be their guest and treated like royalty!

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant (Table Service, Hollywood Studios) – Dinner and a show.  Classic cars and classic sci-fi movie clips.  Under the stars and on the big screen.  Enjoy your favorite all-american dishes and you let the scenery take over.  Cars a little too crammed for you?  Enjoy the picnic tables!  This place has it all when it comes to theming and perfect way to kick off our BEST RESTAURANT AT DISNEY series!
